Feel pretty dejected right about now....a long grind in which i nursed a bottom 10% stack for nearly 2 hours was 1 card away from having a Final Table stack and a good chance at another 4 fig score, if not the $5.5k first prize.

I re jammed with AQ and 44 calls. Board runs out QQ67     4.....!!!!! Grrrrrr

Surely it has to be coming, i cant keep ploughing this deep with no real return!!

Downswings Suck Ass

Had an online cash grind today 6 tabling NL10 6max, and 2 tabling NL25 FR and was the most unusual session,

i eeeked out 1000 hands.

300 hands - +$20

600 hands - +$4

1000 hands - -$20

The last 400 hands were brutal, and i found the combination of losing lots of 70/30s as well as not making one set all session a real struggle.

Seemed no matter what i tried they got there, and lots of mid PP into larger mid PP.....Meh

Gonna review the HHs as feel i lost the minimum and took max value out off all hands.

Still 7buyins down in last 2 sessions is a sick brutal swing!!!

Even with that said i am loving cash again, and happily grinding away whilst everyone else binks 4 figures here there and everywhere!

Wanna say congrats to Steve Lloyd (8sl2 - Full Tilt) who had back to back scores finishing 2nd in a $2 Rush Rebuy for $2.5k and then winning a $55 mtt the next night for anotehr $2k!!! Good work sir

Live Cash FTW

Had a bit of a GNF meetup at the Gala Casino last night, before seeing Scrote off to Vegas, and the WSOP.
After busting the tournament i had a cheeky lil cash session, that turned into a 6hr slog. With a great result!!

Started with £50 playing NL50 and ended a nice £330 in profit.

For the first time, i feel i played solidly for a WHOLE session and will run through the most interesting hand of the night.

History, as i have position on villian i have played many against him, and really outplayed him post flop and shown lots of bluffs. Been chatting to him a lot aswell and feel i can bleed his chips.

With a straddle to £1, Villian raises UTG+2 to £8
MP (Hero) i call with K3ss (to outplay him post flop)
All else fold

Villian leads out £13, i Raise to £30 pretty sure i can take it down there and then.
Villian then instajams all in ???????????????

With such a dry board, and knowing that the Villian thinks i can bluff my stack off his shove stinks of weakness.
Im 100% certain he just calls any overpair/set/funky 2pair hand and would jam marginal hands he thinks i can fold Kx too (99/TT/JJ/QQ) after a good think i call and he shows TT and i double up to ~£260

Now i have discussed this hand with 2 poker friends, 1 of which thinks it was a high level thinking play, and the other thinking im a donkey....................ohhhh thats why i love the game!

Night at Chez Fez

Decided to join Fez in his "Sat Night Grind" and made the LONG trek to the Forest of Dean, which was less "picturesque" and more petrifying as i know all the stories about the "Bear".....Ahhhhh Shit!!! Not supposed to mention the Bear!!!

Joking aside, in amongst the Pokerstars Memorabilia i sat down in my grindstation!! Set up the UStream channel!! www.ustream.com/sfourooter and we were away!! BTW over 20 diff people logged into that stream at some point, pretty impressed! Next time ill make sure its the whole room and not my nose only!!!

I think i played about 20mtts, from FPPs right up to a few $55's aswell as some micro € games on the Boss Network.

To be honest i am more than happy that i ended the evening break even after the dire start to the evening!

But the most gutting must have been the 9 1/2hrs grind in the $11 Deepstack on Stars in which i finished 23/870 for $37 or something similar, sadly lost a huge chunk of my stack with AK v AJ and then couldnt hold with 66 squeezing to ORs AQo.....meh

Stayed up and watched the UFC 131 fight card (tbh we kinda half watched the Prelims throughout the Grind) and was gutted i only picked 3/5 winners altho CHUFFED i was wrong as KFlo looked awesome at Featherweight, lets see if he can finally run at the title in this weightclass!!!

Saturday Nights Alright for Grinding!!

Well, tonight was a bit shitty on the virtual felt, managed to book a 5 buyin loss tonight, which is only the 2nd losing session since i started the cash grind, altho a fooking big one if i do say myself!  Cash is annoying frustrating as it seems at the moment i have the magical ability to flop the nuts vs shortstackers and flop the second nuts/be outdrawn by the only other guy on the table with 200+bbs......still got my health so cant complain.....ffs

I came 1/43 in the PokerPlayersPlace Tuesday Night League Game, in Game 1/8.  This is a great Value League in which your top 5 games score and the top 4 places win the following:

1st:  Entry into a $215

2nd: Entry into a $109

3rd: Entry into a $55

4th: Entry into a $22

The top 4 then play there games and then donate 30% of winnings back to a collective prizepool which is split throughout the remaining league participants.  Great Value again from PPP.

For those reading the Blog, deffo get involved in this forum.  They run games every night of the week and its a good place to get started, as well as for experienced players. They also hold an annual Live Team Event, as well as 2x Live Meets (Winter and Summer Masters), good bunch of people. They also have a radio show every night following there online games.

Also made the Final Table of the Boss €25 €2.5k gtd game, with 97 runners ANOTHER Boss overlay was to be had. I finally cruised out with AQhh v 99 after riding a short stack from 27 left, as i seemed to managed to chop every pot i was all in for, and set for double ups each time....AK v A7 and AK v AQ.....boooo. Still €95 is not too shabby.  Played this on PCUK skin, as its better than DTD and Paradise imo ;)  Prob helps that my main forum (GNF) is hosted by friend and owner of skin.
